General Information

Tuesday-Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

School will not take place on-site on Mondays. There will be 35 AHE (At Home Enhancement) days. Acceptable AHE assignments include music lessons, reading reports, remedial class work, field trips, etc.

Daily attendance is expected for grades 1-3.

 

Grade 2-3 students participate in elective classes weekly. A specialized instructor teaches each.

Bible Truths

Students will memorize verses and learn stories from both the Old and New Testaments.

Heritage Studies

Students explore God’s design for the family, understanding each member’s unique role, along with learning about various community jobs and citizen responsibilities.

Math

Focus areas include place value, addition, subtraction, money, and measurement. Lessons often involve hands-on activities with manipulatives, graphs, and equations.

Phonics and English

Emphasis is on phonemic awareness and patterns, with introductory grammar focusing on punctuation. Writing instruction begins with sentence formation and progresses to constructing a single paragraph.

Spelling

Lessons delve into word families and definitions, moving beyond simple memorization.

Reading

Instruction enhances phonics, reading comprehension, and listening skills, incorporating literary stories, Scripture, poetry, and plays.

Handwriting

Pre-cursive lessons concentrate on correctly forming alphabetic letters and simple words.]
